Reading offers free courses to enhance English language and academic skills, and a Pre-sessional English programme for those who wish to improve their English or have not achieved the required level. Accommodation

The University of Reading is a campus university where most undergraduates and many postgraduates live in university-owned Halls of Residence. All university accommodation is either on campus or within a 10-15-minute walk of the main campus buildings. Private accommodation is also available to rent in the local area.


Location

Located between London and Oxford on the River Thames, Reading is a large town with an urban population of over 300,000 people. The town lies in the southeast of England and is close to major international airports – London Heathrow is 45 minutes away by bus, and London Gatwick is 90 minutes away by train. Reading is less than 30 minutes from London by train and is linked to the London Underground network via the Elizabeth Line.
